It is officially 2018!
The first day of the year brings love and joy to my heart as I celebrate my 13th anniversary with my husband. That adds up to: 156 months; 676 weeks; 4,749 days; 113,976 hours; 6,838,560 minutes; 410,313,600 seconds together and still counting.
With the close of 2017, I look back on a year that flew by so quickly, but that contained so many amazing experiences. It was my fifth year at my day job, which I still love and enjoy greatly. We added a new addition to our family, the adorable little Cleo. My husband found a new job with a great company, and we are working on planning the next chapter of our lives.
I am not big on new years resolutions as I never really follow them, but I have a couple of important goals for this year that I would love to share with you.
First, gaining control of my health. It is the biggest on my list, but also the most important. My sister from another mister is getting married next year and I am determined to improve my self before then so that I can help her enjoy the day as much as possible. Second, gaining control of my financial health. My husband and I are looking to start the next chapter of our life together and with that comes the hope of purchasing a house and finally being able to start out family. Finally, finding my happiness. It has been a struggle the last few years, fighting an ever-changing battle with depression and anxiety as I try to gain control over it, but I am determined that this year will be the year I win that battle.
While these are my big goals for the year, they are made up of many small obstacles I must face as the year moves along, and I know that with my support system behind me, great things are possible.
What are some of your goals / resolutions for 2018? Are there any topics you would like to see written about this year?
Cheers to a great 2018!
